Welcome to Rabbit Creek House, an Assisted Living Home
My home is a place where real living takes place; not just great food, beautiful scenery and cozy interiors. But I endeavor to help my clients maintain what abilities they have for as long as possible and to help them realize their purpose in this last stage of their life. This is very important because all of the stages of life have been ordained by God. And while the ability to take care of ourselves and others is empowering we also tend to take it for granted until it is gone, and then we will yearn for the freedom lost. So I work very hard and do the more difficult tasks of helping my clients take care of themselves rather than doing everything for them. To help them hold onto their sense of capability that comes from a lifetime's worth of accomplishments. This is the real quality of life.

About Myself:
My name is Jeanie Campbell, I was born and raised in Alaska and I love this state. I understand the independent nature of Alaskans, we are rugged individualists. When I moved back here in 1992 after living in Hawaii I saw this very clearly. In Alaska nobody needs anybody else, and we are very proud of being able to make it on our own, many of my role models from childhood were homesteaders in Alaska and I always admired their can do spirit.
As a single woman I have always taken great pride in being able to take care of myself so when I began to have health problems my life took on a note of uncertainty. I would wonder whenever I got sick if this was the time when I would not get better. Thankfully I was always able to turn my illnesses around by making the corrections needed in my diet and life style and in my outlook on life. But it was this very uncertainty that made me rely so heavily on God and to find out just how much I did need his help and how much He had already been helping me. I really believe that all the struggles of my life were preparing me to have empathy and hope for others.
